School vs. work

When I was younger, high school maybe, my Mom told me that if most college students just treated college like work (just spend 8 hours every weekday) then they would do great. I think she was trying to prepare me for college and try to keep me from being a slacker. But guess what., Mom; you were totally wrong. If I spend 8 hours a day doing my school, as if it were a job, I wouldn't get nearly enough done. I put in 6-8 hour days at school and then come home and do homework. Not all days but most of them. If this were a job, I would be looking for a new one. And I would be able to afford to pay someone to clean my bathroom. With limited free time the bathroom is one of the things that got crossed off the list. I know this is whining but I don't think I'm really enjoying how much work school is right now. It is hard. I guess I'm expected to step up my game because this is my last year. But I think that instead of expecting more from the students why don't they (professors) give us a congratulatory break. A "you made it this far and now it's all smooth sailing" sort of thing. Or maybe if school was less expensive the senior year. Maybe this could be a method to cut back on drop outs. I'm all for it. Anyway, if anyone wants to come clean my bathroom I would really appericate it.

Oddly enough I prefer cleaning other peoples messes to my own. However, you're bathroom is some distance from me and my weird desires to look down on others for the same messes I make... yeah.
