Yep, spring is confirmed

To all my dear friends in colder climates, I'm not bragging about the fine weather just sharing some pictures with you.  If it feels like I'm trying to make you envious it's all in you head.

It was nice enough last week for sandals.  If you know me you know that my sandal threshold is well above the 65 deg and raining of most Seattle-ites.  My poor toes haven't seen the sun in months.  Does this photo make me look pale?  Wow, the longer I look the uglier my toes seem.  Look away!

Something other than fine weather has blown in with the spring; my sister and her family.  They've had enough of the rainy side and are going to make a go of life here.  For the purposes of the camera this really means one thing; my adorable nephew.  He's stayed over again this weekend!  We took him down to the park to get some of his incredible energy out.

Notice the sweater he's rocking?  I made it for him years ago and he still loves it.  It's a bit small now but he insisted on wearing it anyway.  Just what every knitting Aunt wants to hear.  I need to make some changes so it will be ready for the next toddler when the time is right.  But for now I'll squeeze this kid into it every chance I get.

One exciting moment this weekend was trying out our new bike trailer.  We have it on loan from my sweet aunt (aren't aunts the best!?).  I know my passenger doesn't look excited but that can be explained.  He is begging to take a giant ball from another kid in the park.  Umm, not today, Kelvin.  The trailer worked pretty well but there wasn't really enough space between the tire and the frame on my sweet 80s racing bike.  I had to continually adjust the attach point.  This isn't what my bike was designed to do.  I'll have to make Ian try it next time.  And there will be another time because I get to hang out with this kid all the time now.

Welcome to the land of sun.
