Spring summary

Spring is in full swing, almost summer really.  The flowers are blooming and we're eating some veggies out of the garden.  And we've starting closing off the house to sun during the day.  A sure sign that we warm season is here.  I love it.

This was a good spring. We had some family visits from the my sister and her family.  The sun shone obligingly.

My poor niece definitely inherited our pale skin tone. If she's lucky she'll get the good looks along with it.  She didn't get to spend any real time in the sun.

We had a couple of kid birthdays which are always more exciting than adult birthdays, at least around here.  My youngest nephew turned one.  I'm resisting a very strong temptation to flood you with adorable pictures of this kid.  There are so many.

 

 He wasn't the only nephew with a birthday.  Kelvin turned 4.  I made the cake for his party.  I don't know why but I love to make birthday cakes.  He looks pretty excited about it too.

I've been spending a lot of time with this guy lately.  Did you know that kids like to cook?  Maybe not all of them but the ones in my life seem to enjoy it.  Kelvin loves cooking fashion too.  He insists we wear aprons whenever we're in the kitchen.  I haven't made him one yet so we improvise.

 

It slowly slides down so I really should make him his own.  

I feel a little guilty that I'm just ignoring all the adult birthdays.  I don't have any pictures of those.  That's my excuse.  You guys had good birthday parties too.  Super fun...

There are exciting things happening in the kitchen and garden but those will have to wait for another day.  Instead I'll leave you with one more baby picture.
