Come on winter

I know I already talked about snow but it did it again. I woke up Saturday morning and it was totally white out there. It feels like I should be on Christmas break, but I'm not. We took a walk in the fine weather.

I'm using this picture to make a point about hats. Kat claims that slouchy hats are warmer. I told her it didn't matter because by the time it gets cold enough that the extra air pocket in an over sized hat does any important insulating, more layers have already been added. When it gets really cold outside a knit hat is like a base layer for the head and is covered by an outer layer that does some insulating as well. It is still early in the season and I haven't started to wrap my face with a scarf but it is coming. I can tell.
So about not being on Christmas break yet. My instructors are going crazy during the last three weeks of the quarter. Unfortunately, I'm already apathetic about school. This doesn't usually show up until the spring quarter. I'm screwed.

I look outside and everything is pretty much still green. It looks frickn' cold there. Guess I better remember to pack my snow pants. Thanks for the warning. I forget it is winter in other parts of the world.
