Thanksgiving

This year I'm getting two Thanksgivings. Maybe you're thinking that I will have one with his family and one with my family but no.
Just recently James and company came up so that we could be at my aunt's house of Thursday. James spent the night on Wednesday and OMG those kids are exhausting. I love them but I am tired.
We went for a walk when they got here. I got Allie to model I jacket that I made.

Here she is showing her love and appreciation by using the jacket to clean off her hands. Don't let me fool you. She was super nice about all the posing I asked her to do and seemed to genuinely like my work. Maybe you're wondering why her hands need wiping? 1. She is a child and therefore messy. 2. There was a little snow left over in Cheney and, being a child, she played in it. Her snow love was nothing compared to Weston's. He couldn't seem to stop picking up the snow and throwing it as someone/thing.

He managed to find every snow pile between my house and the coffee shop. While at the shop we played games. I made the mistake of playing one with James. I never beat him. I should just stop. The boys busted out some checkers and I was surprised to learn they really do know how to play. I think they had a little help, though.

I hate the game personally. I never win and am not a glutton for punishment. Clover, I'm thinking of you right now. After hot cocoa and checkers we went to the park--anyone get the feeling that James didn't want to spend time at my house?--and played on the monkey bars, climbing wall, and with the drums.

Here are the drums in all their awesome-ness. Yes, Timmy is trying to climb into the biggest one. He almost succeeded.
We also visited the other aunt who lives in town and had a Thanksgiving turkey with my aunt who lives near by but I have no pictures of that and it was just like you can imagine.
Next, it is off to visit James and have my second family meal. I hope it is as good as the first.

The picture with the kids and the drums made me laugh. I it is a great shot. I love that Weston looks like he is trying to stick his head in the smallest one, and Timmy has all but disappeared. The jacket looks super cute, by the way. Is it really finished? I won't believe it till I see it.
