School is now out for winter break. This is such a relief. I've really been looking forward to having some time off and after three days of vacation I can tell you, it's wonderful. My sister is moving across town this weekend so I've been spending a bit of time with the nephew. I think it's easier to move without a small child running around. He's asleep in the spare room right now. What a cutie! Sadly, that's the only moving help I've given. I feel a little guilty about this but I think it was an easy move. That's what I tell myself.
Their new place is larger and nice but now they live across town rather than down the street so I'm worried we might see less of them. And they are the worst people to get a hold of. I would call them in the morning, send them a chat and call again in the afternoon and finally I would trudge over to their house and they would be surprised to hear I was trying to get a hold of them. So now I'll just have to count of them answering their phone occasionally or maybe all of our planning will have to happen days in advance. We'll see.
And now that school's out I need to do a bit of Christmas shopping. So far I have gotten nothing and as someone pointed out the 25th is less than two weeks away. If only it would snow. Then it might feel a bit more like Christmas to me. Come on! Snow!

You wish for snow, you wish for me to be stranded on this side of the mountains!
